These three fellas, who were always together, were part of the Rodeo company’s bucking string that I caught at the Humble, Texas Rodeo a few years ago. Their attention was on the racket behind the gates, which sounded like feed buckets rattling. I didn’t like the background of rodeo fences and chutes so I freed their spirits on canvas and put them out in the wide open spaces where they would have rather been. It has been one of my favorites through the years and would be hard to part with, but I will be glad to let someone else enjoy it as much as I have.
